 Ephesus

Rev. 2:1-7

1) Holds the 7 Stars in His hand.

2) Walks among the 7 Lampstands.

1) Have works, labor, patience.

2) Cannot bear those who are evil.

3) Test those who claim to be apostles and finding them to be liars.

4) Persevere with patience.

5) Labor in the name of Jesus and not become weary.

1) Left their first love.

2) Must repent and do the first works.

1) Those who overcome will eat from the Tree of Life.

 Smyrna

Rev. 2:8-11

1) Is the First and Last.

2) Was dead but is now alive.

1) Have works.

2) Endure tribulation and poverty.

3) They are ‘rich’.

4) Jesus has heard the blasphemy against them of false Jews in the synagogue of Satan.

1) Satan will put some into prison for 10 years.

1) Those who die in the faith will receive a crown of life.

2) Those who overcome will not be hurt of the second death.

 Pergamos

Rev. 2:12-17

1) Has a sharp two-edged sword.

1) Hold fast to the name of Jesus even though they dwell where Satan has his throne.

2) Antipas was martyred there.

1) Some hold the doctrine of Balaam—eating things sacrificed to idols and committing fornication.

2) Some hold the doctrine of Nicolaitans (“vanquishers of the people”) whom God hates.

3) Must repent or Jesus will come quickly and fight against them with the sword of His mouth.

1) Those who overcome will eat of the hidden manna.

2) Those who overcome will receive a white stone with their new name written upon it.

 Thyatira

Rev. 2:18-29

1) Has eyes like a flame of fire.

2) Has feet like fine brass.

1) Have works, love, service, faith, and patience.

2) Last works greater than the first.

1) Jezebel teaches and seduces some into committing sexual immorality and eating things sacrificed to idols.

2) Those who commit adultery with Jezebel and her ‘children’ will be killed with death.

1) Rewarded according to their works.

2) Those without the doctrine of Jezebel or have not known Satan will not be otherwise burdened.

3) Those who overcome and keep the works of Jesus will receive power over the nations.

4) Those who overcome will receive the Morning Star.

 Sardis

Rev. 3:1-6

1) Has the 7 Spirits of God.

2) Has the 7 Stars.

1) Have a name.

2) Some have not defiled their garments.

1) They are dead.

2) Be watchful.

3) Strengthen the things that remain but are about to die.

4) Works are not perfect before God.

5) Recall what they received and heard.

6) Hold fast and repent.

7) If they do not watch, Jesus will come upon them when they do not expect.

1) Those who are undefiled will walk with Jesus in white garments.

2) Those who are undefiled will not be blotted out of the Book of Life.

3) Jesus will confess the names of those who are undefiled before God the Father.

Philadelphia

Rev. 3:7-13

1) Has the key of David.

2) Opens doors and no one shuts; closes doors and no one opens.

1) Have works.

2) Have an open door that no one can shut.

3) Have a little strength.

4) Keep the word of Jesus.

5) Do not deny Jesus’ name.

6) The lying Jews of the synagogue of Satan will worship before their feet and know they are love by Jesus.

1) Hold fast to what they have so that no one takes their crown.

1) They will be kept from the hour of trial that comes upon the world.

2) Those who overcome will be pillars in God’s Temple.

3) Those who overcome will have the name of God, the name of New Jerusalem, and the new name of Jesus written on them.

Laodicea

Rev. 3:14-22

1) Is the Amen.

2) Is the Faithful and True Witness.

3) Is the Beginning of the creation of God.

 

1) Works are lukewarm and Jesus will spew them out of His mouth.

2) Claim to be rich, wealthy, and in need of nothing.

3) Are miserable, poor, blind, and naked.

4) Advised to buy gold refined in the fire and white garments, and anoint their eyes with salve.

5) Jesus rebukes those He loves to be zealous and repent.

1) Jesus is knocking at the door and dines with anyone who hears His voice and opens the door.

2) Those who overcome will sit with Jesus on His throne.

    It is so important that we who are the Called be ever reading the Bible and understanding God’s word, for the days will be soon here when our Bibles will be taken away, and all we will have is what is in our minds. Bible study, prayer, and serving others is our connection to Christ and God the Father. Without these we are helpless in Satan’s world!
