You absolutely hit the nail on the head with this one!! THANKS Roger!! The problem is definitely a lack of UNDERSTANDING, LOVE, and UNITY!! The scriptures are absolutely clear regarding this subject and you mentioned it in Ephesians 4:4-6 and in 1 Corinthians 1:10. The operative word is “ONE”. “Can two walk together unless they be AGREED?” (Amos 3:3) “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put trust in princes”. (Ps. 118:8-9) “Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man in whom there is no salvation”. (Ps. 146:3) “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe”. (Prov. 29:25) Like you mentioned in your message, we absolutely need to have that relationship with God and have trust in Him because apart from Him we can “DO NOTHING”!! (John 15:5)
So well said Roger, I certainly will pray for all the baptized and converted brethren to see the reality that we are one body belonging to God our Father and our Savior Jesus Christ and not to an organization or allegiance to a man.
There should be NO competition between organizations for membership or tithe monies, is this not missing the mark of our calling?
