THANK YOU for pointing out that we are *******NOT******* baptized into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit as some translations **ERRONEOUSLY** state in Matthew 28:19!! SEVERAL scriptures CONTRADICT this such as Acts 2:38. “Then Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized each one of you IN THE NAME OF *JESUS CHRIST* for the remission of sins, and you yourselves shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” “For as yet it had not fallen upon any of them, but they had only been baptized IN THE NAME OF THE LORD *JESUS*.” (Acts 8:16) “And he commanded them to be baptized in the NAME OF THE LORD.” (Acts 10:48) This is a prime example of why we are NOT to follow a MAN or an ORGANIZATION but the word of God!! The Bereans didn’t take a man’s word for it and neither should we!! “Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all readiness of mind and EXAMINED THE SCRIPTURES daily to see if these things were so.” (Acts 17:11) MEN are FALLIBLE but the word of God is not!!
